More Information
Meeting the week or night before, the trip is discussed in detail over a drink and a few maps.
The tracks are disected, so that everyone is aware of the details for each day, in advance. There are a few technical sections en route, and some quite steep hills. However, overall it is an excellent ride.
From Kanangra, the trail crosses the Kowmung River and then climbs again, traversing ridges. A few side-tracks lead through more interesting sections, spicing up the ride!
Relax by the campfire at night, discussing the day's events over a glass of wine or cold ale!
The route on day two descends into Wombeyan Caves Reserve, where you camp for the second night, surrounded by grazing kangaroos.
The final day offers a wild downhill descent for almost 20km to the Wollondilly River. Climbing the far ridge provides magic views across the floodplain.
The final destination is the pub at Mittagong, where a welcome drink awaits.
